Restoring Our Communities, One Soul at a Time

Our Core Value

We are a multi-cultural, multi-generational lighthouse that teaches and encourages reverence for God, His Word, and all people.

Our Vision

To establish relationships that reach and restore our communities through who we are not just what we do.

Our Foursquare Gospel

“Foursquare” is a Biblical term used of the tabernacle in the Book of Exodus, of the Temple of the Lord in Ezekiel 40:47, and of Heaven, as described in the book of the Revelation. The term “Foursquare Gospel” was given in the inspiration of revival to the denomination’s founder, Aimee Semple McPherson, during an evangelistic campaign in Oakland, Calif., in 1922. It represents that which is equally balanced on all sides, established and enduring. Such confidence in the power of the Gospel is also expressed by the verse, Hebrews 13:8, displayed in Foursquare churches proclaiming, “Jesus Christ the Same, Yesterday and Today and Forever.”

The name represents the four ministries of Jesus Christ.

Savior of the world

“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him…” –Isaiah 53:5 (Titus 2:14, Isaiah 55:7, Hebrews 7:25, Isaiah 1:18)

Baptizer with the Holy Spirit

“For John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit… you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” –Acts 1:5,8 (John 14:16-17, Acts 2:4, Acts 8:17, Acts 10:44-46, 1 Corinthians 3:16)

Healer of our diseases

“He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses…” –Matthew 8:17 (Mark 16:17-18, Matthew 9:5-6, Acts 4:29-30)

Soon coming King

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout… the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.” –1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 (Titus 2:12-13, Matthew 24:36-44, Hebrews 9:28, Luke 19:13, Luke 12:35-37.)

Meet Our Pastor

Luis Molina

Senior Pastor

I am constantly asking myself this question:

If our church closed its doors tomorrow, would anyone notice? Would anyone miss us? Would the life of anyone be negatively impacted because of our absence? Think about that. Ask yourself, what would happen to our city if our church were no longer here?

My passion is to see the Church multiplied and mobilized to impact and transform our cities and communities. When churches come together centered on one mission, their unity becomes a testimony of God’s power and grace. Jesus prayed that we would be one “so that they be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me” (John 17:23). When we come together, the world will know who Jesus is and what He’s about.

I never planned on being a pastor. I was headed to agriculture engineering in Guatemala when God drafted me into occupational ministry. From there, I moved to Woodburn, Oregon and was given the opportunity to serve with Dave and Nancy Stone our local Foursquare church in the year 2000. I never planned on living in the US, but for the last 22 years, my life has found purpose simply because someone believed in me and shared the platform to discover what life is all about.

I love my church family, I love my community, and I love its diversity. Woodburn Foursquare Church is not only a place, but a group of people who believe that we’re better together, in one mission: “to restore our communities one soul at a time”, of course in partnership with others.
